Thanks for your interest in one on one therapy.
I help women who feel held back by anxiety, procrastination, and self-doubt move past negative emotions and set better boundaries, so they can be more confident, take up space, and put their energy towards achieving what they want to in life.
Individual Therapy for Women in Connecticut
Life can be tough.
I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know. But just in case you had doubts, take my word for it: it’s not just you.
So many women are struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, self-doubt, and burnout.
Now more than ever before, women are feeling the pressure to “do it all.” It doesn’t feel like a choice so much as it feels like an expectation and a necessity.
It can feel like everything we were told as kids—that we could be moms, professionals, happy partners all at the same time—just wasn’t true. Because no matter how much we accomplish, it doesn’t feel good enough.
We struggle with the feeling of failure…
Even when we can’t put our finger on exactly why.
You aren’t alone in the overwhelm.
None of us are immune to feelings of anxiety and self-doubt—not even me.
In my individual therapy practice, I see how common these struggles really are. I have a front row seat to the thoughts and behavior patterns so many women share.
And every day, I’m more convinced of two things:
- There are a significant number of reasons women wind up feeling trapped in our own minds; and
- Most of them are completely out of our control.
We have little power over the external factors in our culture and society that are setting women up for a lifetime of stress, pressure, and overwhelm.
But that doesn’t mean those unwelcome feelings have to define us, either.
If you wish you were better able to set boundaries, own your worth, and be happier with yourself and in your body..?
I’ve got good news for you.
Individual Therapy Can Help You Get Unstuck
I offer online and in-person individual therapy for women in Connecticut who struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, self-doubt, and burnout.
Together, we can take a direct, validating, and holistic approach to getting you unstuck. We’ll talk about the real-life strategies you can use to not just cope, but thrive.
And we’ll work on getting you out of your head and back inside of your whole body.
What Can I Expect from Individual Therapy?
If you’ve never been to therapy before, it’s natural to feel a little nervous or uncertain about what to expect.
Or, maybe, you have been to therapy before… But you didn’t have a great experience.
Either way, I’m here to create a space where you are seen and heard. Whatever your experience, whatever’s troubling you, and whatever you’re hoping to get from working together.
Here’s what you can expect in individual therapy with the Grounded Therapist team:
- A safe and confidential space where you feel free to talk about your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
- The opportunity to work together with your therapist to identify what you’d like to get out of the process—and to define the goals for therapy that mean the most to you
- Feedback and suggestions tailored to you; that take into account your resources, abilities, interests, preferences, and experiences
- Consistent check-ins and course corrections, depending on what’s happening for you. Because, after all—life happens!
The only thing required of you is that you lean into the process. Being open, honest, and committed is the best way to see the results you’re looking for.
